Artists for the Barnes: Michael Leavy

A musician by trade, and University of the Arts graduate, I have been a musician for 22 years and come from a long line of artists. The inspiration for my work lies in urban street art, free-thinkers, and rock and roll. This piece is the first  of an upcoming series of paintings on wood, involving purely organic processes, subject matter and evocative imagery, allowing mother nature to create the art in the grain, and allowing myself to see it.
